The National Insolvency Exam
Upon completion of the CQP courses and the experience requirement of 2,400 hours, candidates are eligible to write the National Insolvency Exam (NIE)*. The NIE tests all of the material in the Program and is usually held in the fall of each year. A tutorial is normally scheduled in late September, and the six-hour, written NIE itself is normally held over two days in October/November, with simultaneous sessions in various centres around the country.
Exam results are communicated in a results letter, which also provides information on the appeals process for unsuccessful candidates.
* The NIE will be available in 2010 and 2011. Starting in 2012, the final examination for the CQP Program will be the CQP National Insolvency Examination (CNIE) which will reflect CAIRP's focus on competency-based training and assessment.
